Shirpur is located at a distance of 400 KM from Mumbai and 150 KM from Nashik. The nearest town is Dhule which is located at a distance of 52 KM.

There are number of buses plying between Shirpur and Dhule quite frequently. The nearest railway stations are: Nardana (25 Kms), Dhule (52 Kms), Nandurbar (100 Kms) and Bhusawal (120 Kms). It is a perfect example of a model township which has been developed by local organizations under the leadership of Hon'ble Shri Amrishbhai Patel, MLA, Maharashtra

Shirpur is one of the best towns in Maharashtra located in Dhulia District, which has the border touching M.P. and Gujarat. It is well connected by Road and Rail to Mumbai in Maharashtra, to Indore in M.P. and to Vadodara in Gujarat. There are plenty of trees in and around the Town and pollution free environment. The Shirpur Municipal Corporation was given the best Municipal Corporation Award by the State Government.

The town is maintained clean throughout the year. The drinking water is supplied after the purification in the modem plant. The educational facilities, medical facilities, open areas, playground and other amenities are superior to those available in many big cities in the country. Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal started its Military School in the year 2000 and now from the year 2007-08 it is starting the Off Campus Centre of its NMIMS University on a land area of about 50 acres. The spacious buildings with modern facilities are planned for the institution with residential accommodation for faculty and for boys and girls students on the Campus.
